Dear all,
here I am back again with my updating problem for SUSE 9.0: as previously posted, I am tryingto update Suse 9.0 to a newer and stable version (say, 9.2). I have completely update using some on line tips my 9.0 Pro for bas packages and many apps: I have indeed found some issues about updating with apt4rpm 9.1 to 9.2, but no one about updating 9.0 to upper versions. Did anyone tried to do so ? Do you think that such an aupdate (9.0 --> 9.2) using a full apt procedure as described in SUSE FTPs could in principle create a problem ?
Thanx in advance
L
I did the upgrade from 9.0 to 9.1 first and then 9.1 to 9.2 after that.
Worked fine. Before starting the upgrade, backup up your data, and know
that the more you have tweaked your system and fiddled with
dpendencies(--force and --nodeps), the possibility for problems
increases. Examine closely the results of the test 'apt -s dist-upgrade'
before you start.
