So you mean to tell me, that my 2 year old install of suse 8.2, patched by suse you, is still not hit by virus, worms, or other unpleasant critters?! Linux sure can strain your paitience, but is has its rewards! Many thanks,, -- Jim Flanagan linuxjim at jjfiii.co
I doubt it. Run who and you'll likely see something like: %> who currentuser :0 currentuser pts/0 currentuser pts/1 %
The pts is a pseudo terminal. I have apps running in three of the four "virtual" screens.... and I have the above.

Hi. Still running Suse 8.2. When I log in as a user, gkrellm shows 2 users logged in. In shell, the "user" command shows "currentuser currentuser currentuser", three times. Thats it.
My 9.1 install on a different box shows only one user after the "user" command.
Am I hacked?

Remember, all Windows-based machines are, by definition, fault tolerant.
They run Windows don't they?!?!?!?
