Is anyone else experiencing problems downloading from the apt-get repositories?
Both gwdg.de and mathematik.uni seem to have been faulty most of today. Broadband download speeds from either repository have only been a few thousand Kb/s dropping down to a few hundred. (Worse that when I was on dial-up!). They have downloaded for a few seconds and then there have been periods of about 30 seconds with no activity. It's taken a long time to download anything - even of just a few Mb!
Now I can't download anything. Whenever I try, I get an "unknown signature" error message and *nothing* will download. Even trying to install the various rpm signatures gives me the "unknown signature" message and they won't download. I have deselected the "check signature" in synaptic, but it makes no difference.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or must it be a large problem here? It's the first time this has happened.
Thanks
Keith
Downloading kernel-source. Up to 200K/s. Drops for a while, but never below 20K/s.
It is from gwdg.de

Problems are worse today! I can't even connect to either repository. I have been trying all morning, and have even uninstalled apt & synaptic and reinstalled them - just in case they had got corrupted. There are no problems connecting to other sites and downloading at a good speed (not using apt/synaptic). As no one else has replied apart from Sunny, I assume that it is only me who has this trouble. Cheers Keith
