Hi, I'm using digiKam 0.7.1 with KDE 3.3.2 level "a" on SuSE 9.1.
In the previous version - 0.7.0 there was a Rotate item in the Image menu in the thumbnail view. It was used for lossless rotation of the pictures, because the integrated image editor reencodes the picture when rotated, thus loosin quality.
I have filed a bug report about this behavior of the image editor, and the KDE developer responsible for this have directed me to use the rotate in the thumbnail view. But after a recent update, this menu disappeared. I have posted back to the KDE bugs database, but I do not know how to reopen a bug, so chances that the guys there will not see my post are big.
I believe I have all the recent updates to digikam (says it's 0.7.0) and I still have the menu on a right click of a thumbnail... Rotate seems to work fine.
I'm using the litest KDE from the apt repository. And the digiKam is from there. As I said this menu is missing from 0.7.1 version.
Thanks for the post anyway Sunny
The lossless rotation is actually a plugin. So one needs a kipi package installed in order to have it. Cheers Sunny -- Get Firefox http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=affiliates&id=10745&t=85
