Boot disk, bood cd, any other boot media that will give fdisk type functionality I would just pop in a win98 boot cd (made from a win98 boot floppy image onto a CD with k3b) and run fdisk.... I suppose Knoppix would be able to do same or even the live eval SuSE iso. B-) On Wednesday 16 February 2005 05:03 pm, James D. Parra wrote:
That sounds promising. How can I check that if I can't boot from it?
Thank you,
James

Don't forget to check for active partition... That's gotten me once or twice before....

Try knoppix and rebuild your lilo.conf?

Hello,
Cloned a SuSE/Windows laptop drive and if I try to boot from it I get a L 999 999 999... ad infinitum. Is the MBR toast? Lilo was used as the boot loader. Anyway to repair this?
Thank you in advance.
