I want to place a small program into ddd. The file is called test1 and the source is called test1.c. They both are in bin in my home directory and this is my working directory. When I type 'ddd test1' in a konsole window I get this error message: DDD:No Source /home/myhome/sysdeps/i386/elf/start.S No such file or directory. There is no 'sysdeps' directory in myhome. I hit the help button in the error message window (nice touch) and get this: DDD Help The given source file could not be loaded. Please check the GDB search path via EDIT->GDB settings. These are the settings: Search path for source files: $cdir:$cwd Search path for object files: /home/myhome/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/bin:/usr/games:/opt/gnome/bin:/opt/kde3/bin:/usr/lib/java/bin What does $cdir:$cwd mean? Where is it looking for the source code. In this case 'test1.c'. How do I add /home/myhome/bin to the search path for source files? Thanks, Jerome
