IMHO, a jump from 7.3 to 9.2 is really too great to do an upgrade. I upgraded from 7.3 to 8.0, then I upgraded my HD to install 8.2. I upgraded my 8.2 heavily (was already running a 2.6 kernel) when I upgraded to 9.1. All my upgrades have been without any big problems, but 7.3 to 9.2 is huge.
I think so. Nevertheless, I would try it... just to learn if it can cope O:-)
Of course, with a full backup available.
A good thought.... however it has one downside. If any problems *do* show up (and they will), you would have a hard time deciding whether the problem is due to the upgrade being 'huge' or it is a bug in 9.2 itself. Maybe this is the reason we occasionally hear that <name your release> is so bad.
