Why would you want to install the ATI driver? The 9200 is well supported using the radeon module in the kernel and with sax2. You also may want to update to the X.org drivers from SuSE's mirrors, if you are still running XFree86 files. Don't forget to update your sax2 files as well. Those will be needed to get the best setup from your new Xorg files. All those should be located close to where you got the ATI drivers.
I'm running the 9200 myself and everything sets up nicely without the ATI drivers installed.
Have you tried some of the OpenGL screensavers? Specifically Euphoria. Mine is very jumpy without the ATI drivers from SUSE. I just wish they would update their packages for 9.2

Yes, I have Mike, in fact, I'm running that screensaver now! Most of the ones I run are the OpenGL savers and have not experienced any problems using the included radeon module and setup SuSE provides by default. From using the ATI driver in the past, you do have to be sure to completely remove what you've installed, if you plan to use the default radeon module. Mixing could be a problem if remnants are left. regards, Lee
