My feeling is that it is a font problem, i.e., that xmgrace is trying to locate a font that used to be available in the distro but may not be anymore, or that xmgrace now requires a different set of fonts that are not in the distro. I am having the same problem and so far have not had the time to investigate further. Cheers, Alex. On Fri, 19 Nov 2004, Alberto santana wrote:

I have the Suse 9.1 and recently I have noticed that the xmgrace is behaving somewhat different. The main thing is that I cannot access, for any font, the second group (below) of characters in the font tool. I click on them but nothing happens. If I click on the characters of the first group (above) it's alright. This is really annoying because I have to use very often for example the "Angstrom" character, or the "degree" character. Someone knows what might be the problem?
thanks in advance
