Does anyone have the manual for a SIIG ATA/13 IO/Card, SC-PE4B12? I looked it up on the SIIG website and they don't have an online manual. Bought the card used and there was no manual included . (Ain't ebay grand?) Anyway, it appears to be working. (When the board is plugged in my boot drive /dev/hda becomes /dev/hde, but I'll discuss this in another post.) There are three jumpers on the board. When the card arrived JP1 was shorted and the card prevented the system from booting. The silk screen printing on the board says JP1 open == IDE, short == raid. Odd, because the SIIG site says this is not a RAID card. JP2 is labelled PRIMARY and JP3 is labelled SECONDARY. Both are open and I'll hazard a guess that they do something to the ATA ports labelled PRIMARY IDE, and SECONDARY IDE. I tested one figuring it would disable the port and it didn't appear to do so. Are they important at all? When the system starts booting the diagnostics on the card produce a prompt to press F3 for configuration for the card. Is there anything going on in this setup that I need to worry about? The phrasing of the menu that appears suggest a RAID setup -- I think. Right now I have just one drive hooked up, and I'm not going to do RAID. Thanks in advance for your help. Ken Jennings
