Quoting Michael W Cocke <cocke@catherders.com>: [snip]
Not an answer, but more data. Modprobe doesn't seem to do anything either - at least not modprobe -r hw_random. Next boot, it's still looking to load the module for the non-existant hardware, 2.6.8-24.3 and 2.6.9 (from kernel.org) same behaviour. I thought it was me, but possibly the module subsystem is munged in recent kernels?
The way to fix the hw_random warning is to add it to /etc/hotplug/blacklist. HTH, Jeffrey
