You have nfsd running here, does that mean the client is also a server? Can
other machines mount from it?

Or did you perhaps run the ps -ef on the server? If so, what does it look like
on the client?

Also, do you have a firewall running on the client? And what is the contents
of /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny ?
