Well, I use another program "smb4k". I can not mount with it to. I get "An error occurred while trying to mount the share!"
smbmnt must be installed suid root for direct user mounts (1000,1000)
smbmnt failed: 1
smbmnt and smbumount need root privileges, so to be able to mount and unmount samba shares as a normal user you will have to set the suid bit on both programs. They reside normally in /usr/bin ('which smbmnt') and are owned by root. So, setting the suid bit, the programs will be run as if by root, even if you execute them as a normal user.
Just do (as root): 'chmod +s /usr/bin/smbmnt' and 'chmod +s /usr/bin/smbumount'. You will be able to easily mount and unmount samba shares using smb4k, and mounted shares can be opened in Konqueror by one click. I like smb4k a lot!
Thank you! That worked perfectly! -- AV SuSE 9.1 Pro RLU #128180
