I have two boxes, both of which have both XP & SuSE. One box is trying to be the host & the other the client. When it comes to internet and the host is dialed in using XP, the other box can access w/o any hassle, whether XP or Linux. When the host is using Linux, the other box can't access the net w/either platform.
I took the host's portsentry down, scrapped the firewall and have 'ip forwarding' checked. I think the resolv.conf is correct...

As an aside, I did an FTP install of 9.1 on the client box and, even after boot, I only had to put the nameserver stuff in place to be able to surf the net when the host box was logged in using XP. As soon as I changed the host box to SuSE (9) I could no longer surf, and nothing shows up in the logs, either. Hmmmm.
