I just setup SuSE 9.1 with a belkin 54g pcmcia card. Not entirely painless, but relatively with the help of ndiswrapper. I say relative, because it does require you to have some basic knowledge as there are no GUI interfaces to set it up, but it's still sorta painless as the documentation is quite good if you know what you're reading.
My notebook has a Broadcom BCM94306 adaptor built in, and again, ndiswrapper was the answer. I simply downloaded the Windows drivers from my vendor's FTP server. Followed the installation instructions at http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Installation I only had to use section 2 of the guide - option 1 is covered by installing the package from the DVD/CD, and once you've set up ndiswrapper to use the appropriate ndis driver, you can set up the interface in YaST. -- James Ogley james@usr-local-bin.org GNOME for SuSE: http://usr-local-bin.org/rpms
