Is there a GUI on SuSE 9.1 for rpm management. I am ok with rpm command line comands such as rpm -qa | grep whatever, but I was wondering if there was a GUI interface either in KDE or elsewhere.
yast2?
What I really need is something smart enough to link an app name to a rpm. For example I can do
listhub@libros:~> rpm -qa wine which returns: wine-20040213-41
However, just for an example, if I do
listhub@libros:~> rpm -qa Mahjongg I get nada because Mahgongg is in some game package.
Maybe kpackage, then, or a gnome equivilent. Install it with yast. :) BTW, to find the package associated with a file: rpm -qf /path/to/file or if the file is in your $PATH rpm -qf `which file` --Danny
