Hello, I used to download apt for SuSE from Richard Bos' site http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/ and would get only apt, apt-libs and lua and it worked ( at least, IIRC ). I see that the SuSE FAQ links to apt4rpm.sourceforge.net now, however that seems to host only the server packages. Richard's site says: "- A more recent apt version 0.5.5 can be obtained from the official apt repository. See http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm for more information." however, the only packages on the files page are apt4rpm, which seems to be the server package, not the client package: rpm -Uhv apt4rpm-0.68.2-2.noarch.rpm error: Failed dependencies: perl-XML-LibXML is needed by apt4rpm-0.68.2-2 apt-server is needed by apt4rpm-0.68.2-2 I tried downloading the old packages for 9.1 (from ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.1-i386/SRPMS.suser-rbos/), but they are comming up with funny dependencies: rpm -Uhc apt-0.5.15cnc6-0.suse091.rb.5.i586.rpm warning: apt-0.5.15cnc6-0.suse091.rb.5.i586.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 8c9b4b0d error: Failed dependencies: libapt-pkg-libc6.3-5.so.0 is needed by apt-0.5.15cnc6-0.suse091.rb.5 libpopt.so.0 is needed by apt-0.5.15cnc6-0.suse091.rb.5 Please - what and where are the correct packages for 9.1? It would be nice if this information was on the SuSE FAQ, Thanks. -- ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com
