I have the RPM on my PC at home. If you still need them let me know and I'll email then to you tonight when I get home.
Thanks,
Martin
The rpm ( SuSE 9.1 ) for kdvdbackup can be found at http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=12698 The errors in the log file of kdvdbackup where from a physically damaged dvd. Must include a option to read again damaged areas, for example 20 times, and then exit with an error. That is the way dvddecrypter for win does. Maybe in the next version. The dvdbackup to be compiled needs the dvdnav and dvdplay libraries installed, resp. dvdnav-devel and dvdplay-devel rpms. Personally I use the kdvdbackup to backup the DVD to the hard disk. Then the DVD shrink to make it 4.7. It works with current wine. It can't load any file or DVD from it's GUI, but accepts the DVD's main IFO as a parameter. So, make a association, for example associate the video_ts.ifo to be opened with DVD shrink, and voila :) When double-click the video_ts.ifo of the ripped DVD the DVD shrink will fired up, ready to shrink it .....
