Very broken indeed. Happened after the kdebase/libs updates via YOU. The stock KDE that shipped on the CDs works fine. I looked into the src but there is a gazillion diffs applied in the security update version of KDE on YOU. I sent a personal note to the maintainer at SuSE but was told it wouldn't be fixed until 9.2 which was a bit disturbing (that a security update broke kmenuedit functionality). I sincerely hope they revisit that plan.... He also mentioned that 3.3 packages would be available and that it was easier to fix menu editing there. I asked for clarification if that meant 3.3 would be available on YOU or supplementary but didn't get a reply (sigh). You can upgrade to the 3.2.3 version available on the supplementary site and your menu editing will be restored. Wack those files in ~/.config and ~/.local before you do. There's a bunch of posts on these lists detailing how to configure the new installation source in YaST to-do install from supplementary. Good luck! P.S. If SuSE is watching it would be nice to have some clarification on the above. Keith -----Original Message----- From: ti@amb.org [mailto:ti@amb.org] It seems that kmenuedit is just awfully broken. Anyone else experiencing this? Any wisdom about potential remedies? -Ti
