The /etc/init.d/skeleton script contains the following copyright notice: # Copyright (c) 1995-2004 SUSE Linux AG, Nuernberg, Germany. # All rights reserved. If I build a package for distribution which includes an init script based on skeleton, do I have to obtain a permission from SUSE for re-distribution? The reason I am asking this question is that there were concerns raised on apcupsd mailing list. D. Scott Barninger, author of apcupsd-std-3.10.15-1.i586.su9.rpm package just included an init script from Red Hat because of the copyright. He provided his explanations in http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=5377902&forum_id=26961 Thanks, -Kastus -- suse-lists at tprfct dot net
