Thanks for your response. I installed gnome 2.6, but eclipse 2.1.3 doesn't show anymore the dialogs button's label text... I have gnome 2.6 and eclipse 3.0 installed and everything looks ok. The annoying thing about gnome 2.4/2.6 is theming.. if you're not using gnome as environment (i use kde in day-to-day stuff), all gtk bits show up terrible.. but once you have something up & running, everything is nice.

I think that as the gtk version also changes, it messes my eclipse instalation too... yes, it does, because the SWT is gtk-based... you could try removing all your eclipse settings (or log in as a new user and fire up eclipse...) and see if anything is different. or maybe using 3.0? :)
I would like to use 3.0 but as I use together/eclipse to develop applications, I'm stuck with eclipse 2.1.3 for now... Anyway, I will reinstall it and see if I can make it work. Thanks a lot...
