I'm confused about how to access motherboard sensors with kernel 2.6 and Suse 9.1 and can't find info on this in the database. I've got a fairly recent motherboard with a VIA KT400A chipset and AMD 2700+ processor. Sensors worked perfectly on this hardware with the 2.4 kernel and Suse 9.0 using sensors-detect and appending the modprobe lines to (if I remember correctly) rc.local. This seems to have changed with the 2.6 kernel.
What is sysfs and how do I mount it (or know that it is mounted)? It doesn't appear in /etc/mtab or in the output of the mount command.
This is a matter of some concern at 30 north and 90 west in a building with 40 year-old air conditioning and Summer already here.
