I've seen that behavior. USB-stick that was not writeable in Linux, but it was in Windows, the reason for that... It had been formated with NTFS...
You could read from it?
Similar story. Mounted a FAT formatted Sony USB memory stick in 9.1. It was readable but not writeable. I also heard of a Windows USB formatting bug ...what just one you ask...Yet Another Bug (YAB). Apparently some releases of Windows fail to put all the correct entries into the FAT with flash cards. (I don't know the errant entries.) It is not a Linux bug, but it shows up in Linux and some versions of Window$. The symptom is the similar that the Memory Stick can be written to but not read always. A good feature for storage--Write Once Read Maybe. ps. Didn't know you could format a drive that small as NTFS. Cheers Paul
