I don't know at which version the change from .cfg under Linux changed to .vmx or visa versa. At one time it used to be one was the config under Linux and the other under Windows. If you have a .cfg I am not sure what to tell you in regards to the option to add. You might try the VMWare list. -----Original Message----- From: Ken Schneider [mailto:suselist@rtsx.com] Sent: Wednesday, May 26, 2004 11:08 AM To: Burgess, Keith Cc: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: RE: [SLE] [SOLVED] VMware / SuSE 9.1 USB problems On Wed, 2004-05-26 at 10:45, burgeke@HQ.VerizonWireless.com wrote:
/proc/bus/usb/devices in stock 9.1 does not exist. Instead, it is /proc/bus/usb/devices_please-use-sysfs-instead which is why VMware balks.
The .vmx is the config file for your guest OS. It can be found in the directory path you specified when creating the guest VM.
The config file for my guest VM is win2000pro.cfg which I have been running for a few years. When I try to add the setting then the geust VM will not start. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)
