cant't open DOS file *.bot in WINE

A dos program I'd like to run apparently calls a .bot file, which looks like a text file to me. Since I can't edit the program that calls this file, is there anything I can do? This file seems to point to a couple of subdirectories in the original program directory. I could, (and will) try to run the program with this file renamed, but would appreciate some insight. --doug
