Aren't your usb devices treated as scsi, sda.... My camera, printer, card-reader, web-cam and zip drive are all addressed as scsi. Even the ide dvd and cdroms are, although AIUI, the 2.6 kernel has this support built in now rather than having to declare it in the boot parameters.
Ya know, I'm not sure. I did my first install of 9.1 today at work, and didn't pay any attention. Since I won't be back there until next Monday, I'll have to pay close attention when I install it this weekend on my server box. That's a fully loaded box so I'll have a better idea then.
