MPlayer is notoriously difficult to compile. I actually think the developers go out of their way to make it that way, requiring specific versions of gcc to compile correctly. I'd grab an rpm if I were you. 011 On Tuesday 18 May 2004 10:34, Martin Mielke wrote:
Hi all,
trying to install MPlayer-1.0pre4, I found this error during compilation:
--- dmo.c: In function `DMO_FilterCreate': dmo.c:161: internal compiler error: Illegal instruction Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. See URL:http://www.suse.de/feedback for instructions. make[1]: *** [dmo.o] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/data1/download/SuSE/mplayer_install/MPlayer-1.0pre4/loader/dmo' make: *** [loader/dmo/libDMO_Filter.a] Error 2 ---
The system has gcc-3.3.1-24 installed. I already submited the bug report, as requested above, but I'd like to post this problem here too, hoping that someone has already seen/solved this problem... ;)
Thanks, Martin
