Hi Preston, To be perfectly honest, I think Suse is not the way to go if you want Gnome on the desktop. It is adequate, it works, but Suse is a mainly KDE distribution. I was in the exact same place you are now, however, and ever since I changed Gnome for KDE and Evolution for Kontact, I haven't been happier. So if you are willing to do the same go ahead, Suse is for you. Otherwise, if you are happy enough with Gnome as it is, stay with Fedora. 011 On Friday 14 May 2004 19:03, Preston Crawford wrote:
As mentioned earlier, I'm considering switching. So I'm wondering if I should go with 9.0 or 9.1. I can't get 9.1 right now and it seems like 9.0 is more stable. Is this correct? I hate to downgrade my Gnome apps, but if they work fine...? I don't know. Tough call. Does Ximian Desktop really fill in the gap in terms of being upgrade to the latest Gnome on SuSE 9.0?
