I just received 9.1 pro. This is the first time I've tried suse, I've always used redhat before. I like to just install everything, so I make sure I have all the libs and apps to build software packages.
Is there any way to do this with suse? I couldn't find any option. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux)

There is no option to do this, sadly, always has been a complaint of mine and a pal. You think you've installed it all, then you find the development packages have not been installed, some perl apps don't work, so you have to go and select various perl modules to install, all the things you would expect in apache2 aren't installed, the one problem I'm grappling with now to get php to open up in my browser, it keeps asking to save to disk. It takes ages before you can run everything you need, you keep finding stuff that's not installed, install it, find some more ....... It's the one naff thing that infuriates me with SuSE, a constant bugbear. I thought I opened a report ages ago, seems we need a volume of complaints to get them to do the obvious. If you are installing on 3 separate boxes as I am, it's a pain in the buttocks. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and keen Flyer Linux Only Shop.
