I want to attach some NFS volumes at boot time. The client machine has the following entry in /etc/fstab:
photon:/home /photon/home nfs rw 0 0
If I run su and manually type mount /photon/home
the drive connects correctly. I've tried several combinations of options beside rw, but the volume doesn't connect at boot, only if I do it manually. What am I missing?

Are you running nfs at boot time? My fstab looks like yours and my directories mount at boot. You should have some nfs programs in /etc/init.d like nfs, nfslock, nfsserver, plpnfsd. Also, are you getting any boot error messages? -- Jim Sabatke Hire Me!! - See my resume at http://my.execpc.com/~jsabatke Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.
