I wonder if anyone knows the answer to this:
I stop amavis and spamassassin. I write or revise a custom rule (I've got a couple of .cf files of my own rules in /etc/mail/spamassassin). After checking with sa-learn -D --lint, I restart amavis and spamassassin. But the new rule isn't picked up. The only way I can get the new rule picked up is by starting over, i.e. deleting my bayes db and running the sa-learn routines over my ham and spam folders. I know the new rule isn't picked up because test emails sail straight through.
I wonder if I'm missing something here, like a special command that will tell spamassassin to take the new rule on board without having to delete and rebuild the bayes db. I've checked over the spamassassin wiki but can't see anything that might suggest what to do.
