The weirdest part of this -- no I shouldn't say "weirdest" 'cause we are dealing with computers here -- is that I can mount the flash disk manually- but ONLY as root. Try mounting this as user and the error message that 'only root can do this' comes up. The mount command, BTW, used is mount -t /dev/sda /media/sda1.
that should probably be mount /dev/sda1 /media/sda1
If you have any other ideas I'd be glad to hear them.
You could put the relevant info in fstab, with the options noauto, user added. Then add a desktop link, and you can mount it easily as user. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871 God said, I AM that I AM.
