I think the YOU patch file for apache2 on SUSE 9.0 has been broken. A couple of weeks ago we installed suse 9.0 pro on a computer, with the "simple web server" selection including apache2. This was updated by YOU at the time to apache2-2.0.48-9 (from the installed 2.0.47-x) along with some other related packages. That computer was YOU updated again and apache2 is now at version 2.0.48-123 with no apparent version dependency problems with its related files. Today we installed 9.0 pro on a new computer with the same package selection and then performed a YOU update as usual. After that update we get version dependency errors in yast's "Install & Remove Software", between apache2-2.0.48-123 and the various related files (including apache2-prefork, libapr0) which are still at version 2.0.47-x. There seems no way in YOU for the related files to be updated to the 2.0.48-x version. We are reluctant to use this computer in a production environment with this version mis-match. We haven't even tried it and have no idea if the combination is stable. I notice that the current patch file for apache2 at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/9.0/patches/apache2-51309 has a file date of the 5th of April and looking at the contents of the file it only lists apache2.rpm as a file to update. An older version of the apache2 patch file is at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/9.0/patches.obsolete/apache2-51152 and as well as the main apache2.rpm it lists/updates the related files like apache2-prefork, libapr0 etc. (the files that are listed by YOU on the new computer as being of incompatible versions). I expect that the older machine was updated with the older patch file (which updated the related files to 2.0.48-x) so when it was patched against the new file the additional files were sufficiently up-to-date that YOU doesn't complain about them. And the new computer was updated only with the new patch file, which only updates apache2.rpm itself leaving the other files at the older version rather than updating them to the latest version. 1. How to reproduce: a) Do a fresh install of SUSE 9.0 Professional b) make sure that simple web server is chosen, with apache2 selected c) install d) run YOU and update everything including the apache2 e) in yast run "Install & Remove Software" and it complains that the dependencies for apache2 are broken in that the updated apache2 is version 2.0.48-123 and requires version 2.0.48 of things like apache2-prefork, libapr0 etc. which are still at only 2.0.47-x. There seems no way to update those other files using YOU. 2. This is not working: Updating the apache2 package set in YOU doesn't update the related files even though YOU has done this in the past. 3. Error messages and logfiles
