BTW windowsXP loves the same card on the same machine and it preforms flawlessly.
But then again maybe just taking the whole pile back to BB would be better.
Hi,
I have in one PC ATI 9200 and in another PC ATI 9600. Both are working right out of the box on SUSE 9.0. Maybe manufacturer of your card messed something.
B.t.w., why one or another person is scaring the list with fact that he will return to Microsoft stuff? I don't get the point? If you wanna use MS, please do it. If you wanna use Linux, thats OK. Ask questions about Linux. But, please, do not end your questions like kudzo127234 just did.
I agree here. If you don't like the way things function with linux you are free to go back to MS. No one is holding you hostage. The biggest problem linux is getting the manufacturers to produce drivers for their hardware. This -is not- the fault of linux. The programmers are doing their best to produce drivers for hardware that the manufacturer is reluctant to (should) do themselves. It is hard to be current when the company making the product refuses to provide info for the device. Patience is a virtue when it comes to linux. A driver will be available eventually even if has to be done the hard way. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (6.2)
