How do you tell it to let procmail handle it directly? I'm having a similar setup but my postfix setup screws up a few mailheaders with I don't know how to avoid. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bruce Marshall" <bmarsh@bmarsh.com> To: "SLE" <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Sunday, March 28, 2004 10:33 PM Subject: Re: [SLE] Fetchmail drama

Hi, I'm having difficulties setting up fetchmail on Suse 9. The /etc/fetchmailrc file reads (names changed to protect the innocent):
#fetchmail for [user1] poll mail.[domain].com protocol pop3 user "pete" there with password "password" is ralph here
#fetchmail for [user2] poll mail.[domain].com protocol pop3 user "suse" there with password "password" is ralph here
#fetchmail for [user3] poll mail.[domain].com protocol pop3 user "lists" there with password "password" is ralph here
When I run: # fetchmail -f /etc/fetchmailrc
It goes out and polls, logs in, receives and flushes normally. HOWEVER, nothing gets put into /var/mail/ralph
It's an empty file.
Can anyone offer any ideas about where I should look for ralph's mail?
Not exactly sure where it went but you would probably want to also run procmail.... and you can have fetchmail hand off to procmail. (It normally hands off to sendmail for delivery)
Procmail can be run globally or can have a procmailrc file for each user.
Thanks in advance, Nick
