Hi all,
I am having problems using Kinternet under Suse 9.0 (kernel 2.4.21-199). I am using a Conexant HCF modem with the drivers from linuxant.com, and it works fine when using "ifup ppp0" and "ifdown ppp0" from the command line (as root). But when using Kinternet the connection will not connect to smpppd.
Here is the log file for connecting and disconnecting using ifup and ifdown as root:
SuSE Meta pppd (smpppd-ifcfg), Version 1.06 on linux. Here is the log file for a Kinternet attempt (same as user and root):
SuSE Meta pppd (smpppd-ifcfg), Version 1.06 on linux. Status is: disconnected trying to connect to smpppd connect to smpppd Status is: disconnected Status is: connecting Status is: disconnected pppd[0] died: non-normal exit
Any help is appreciated!
Josh Yep... Conexant doesn't like kinternet. I use wvdial, myself, and have had absolutely no problems with it --unlike kinternet and even kppp.
