Hi Donald & anyone else who could help a newbie,
We might have different versions of the A7N8X motherboards cause mine only
has one 10/100 ports. Here's a link for the motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-131-455&depa=1
The link light is on. I'm not sure if the port is enabled in the Bios? How
do I check?
I also just found this thread:
http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2001/02/mjb_rtl8139_24.html
I'm not quite sure how to apply it ....
I guess... i'm not sure if the module 8139too is already installed or not
and if not where to get it.
If you have any insight as to how to do this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Vu

Hey Thiav, Re: Asus A7N8X connectivity: Your problem is most perplexing. I have the same setup and it worked great right out of the box. Have you checked to see if you have link lights and swapped the cable? Also since you have two 10/100 poerts have you tried both? Are they enabled in the Bios? My 3 Com Home Router and DLink Switch are sometimes a bit slow even balky when first connecting or after disconnecting and reconnecting but as you see I am on line. BTW I was not overwhelmed by Suse Support. Good Luck Donald
