Hello! When I use Samba to connect to a shared folder on an NT Domain I get prompted for a login/password for every folder/file in the shared folder. Eventualy I am granted access, but it's not ideal. How do I setup samba so that I can login only once? Thanks for your help, Markus.
Are you the NT admin as well? Is you box a member of the NT domain? If not, making it a member may help. I don't recall the details of how to do that, but I don't believe it is difficult.

Just create the machine account in Server Manager on the NT side, make sure you've got in your smb.conf: workgroup = DOMAIN <- name of your domain password server = NT_PDC NT_BDC <- name of your PDC/BDC security = domain start Samba and do a 'smbpasswd -j DOMAIN' and you should be golden. HTH Ken
