Hello friends:
I have a SATA/Raptor hardisk, and since my BIOS includes built-in raid-0, I want to add another harddisk and then set raid-0. My problem is that I don't have any idea about how to proceed, I mean:
Should I add the hardisk, partition and format it with ReiserFS and then set via BIOS the raid-0 stuff?
My current HD is formatted with ReiserFS.
I am in the process of setting up SATA raid on a new server at home. When you add the second drive and go to setup your raid-0 I believe you will need to reinstall everything. A safer way to go would be with raid-1 for redundancy in case of a hard-drive crash. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)
