Hello, A friend of mine asked me to install Linux on a IBM Laptop. I installed SuSE-8.2 without problem (without forgetting to do acpi=off after spending half an hour wondering why the CD did not boot). The laptop is equipped with DVD-R/CD-R/RW. Personally I always use directly on console mkisofs/cdrecord/cdparanoia because I have not yet found a GUI program to burn CD that was faster and easier. Thus I have no experience of GUI programs. My friend comes from Windows though and is repelled by console work. What is a functional GUI program that I can recommend him? I tried twice K3b without success. I spent more time to look where to click-click than doing some efficient work. For DVD I found DVD::RIP that works not too badly but I still stick to Mencoder. -- Alain Barthélemy cassandre@bartydeux.be http://www.bartydeux.be Linux User #315631
