I dont even want galeon in any form. I removed it with kpackage and now have lost the ability to click links. I did run gnome-default-applications-properties and still can not get mozilla. Unless this problem can be corrected Ill have no choice but to restore the mozilla default by reinstalling linux. so i started looking /home/<user>.gnome/GNOME held the answer directly editing the file changing galeon to mozilla appears to have worked. I tried both in 8.2 and still clicking links in evolution calls up gaelon. When I first started using evolution mozilla was default. I never changed any settings knowingly.
That's because if you've not personally set a setting, then the system default is used. Installing ULB-GNOME sets the default GNOME browser to be Galeon.
I'm still using the default SuSE version of Gnome so I don't know if this will work but...
If Carl were to un-install Galeon then run the gnome-default-applications-properties command would he be able to choose Mozilla as the defaut browser and have it stick?
If he then re-installed the ULB version of Galeon would it reset the default browser back to Galeon?
