Happy New Year!
I downloaded the Linux version of RealPlayer and followed there instructions: Once you've successfully completed the download, you will be ready to install the RealPlayer. To do this, you must make the installer executable and then run it: Example: chmod u+x rp8_linux20_libc6_i386_cs2.bin ./rp8_linux20_libc6_i386_cs2.bin
But I ran into problems: # chmod u+x rp8_linux20_libc6_i386_cs2.bin Cosmos3:/home/adriel # ./rp8_linux20_libc6_i386_cs2.bin Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: No protocol specified
You are root, trying to connect to a non-root owned xserver. (su - root probably was issued in a shell). Either log in root and run it (not recommended) or run it as a user. You'be been working too hard at this... Take the rest of the year off. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen
