Hi,
I have established without problems a connection to NTL with both Linux and Windows by using the ethernet interface (eth0).
However, when I try to establish a connection by using the USB interface, I succeed only from Window
My old Linux 7.3 has plug in support for USB, but does not recognise the NTL connection.
I guess that I should probably define manually an interface, but I do not know how to do it.
Can somebody help me ?
Thank you and best regards

I guess you don't have a driver or the special devices ... the ACM uses mknod /dev/usb/ttyACM0 c 166 0 mknod /dev/usb/ttyACM1 c 166 1 mknod /dev/usb/ttyACM2 c 166 2 mknod /dev/usb/ttyACM3 c 166 3 You could get a cheap router, or couple of NICS, an old 486/16MB, no HD needed with BBIagent (http://BBIagent.net) and have yourself a robust firewall, no need to replug. One guy says his sits in an old cupboard, mine sits under my desk out of the way. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and keen Flyer Linux Only Shop.
