I've had no problems with the Netgear WG311 PCI Wireless card. If you want more information, I can send it to you tonight. Adam Quoting G_REEPER <mandrakelist@charter.net>:
I used the redhat prism2 rpms from that site and they installed fine. The only problem is that there was no /etc/pcmia/wlan-ng.opts file to edit. I did change to other settings but have still not gotten a response on the card.
I have also started looking for the ver number with no luck since I have found information about 2.7 versions that were based on the borland chip set and were not know to work.
The only thing on this card is what looks to me to be a PCMCIA card on a circuit board with the name cisco stamped on the board. That would seem to mean it is a Cisco chipset, but I don't know for certain.
Yast continues to pick it up as eth1, I have to wonder if that isn't part of the trouble.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Or a recommendation of a card that out of the box works with Suse 9.
Regards, Steven
