Hi, I've been writing an almost void rpm trying to resolve the dependencies problems. I think I found the solution, at least it resolved my problems. I wrote an rpm for those SuSE 9.0 FTP users downloading j2sdk from Sun site. 1) First download j2sdk RPM from http://java.sun.com/ 2) Install it 3) Then install the small java2 RPM in my site (it is actually a conf file). http://www.oxixares.com/~gbv/rpms/SuSE_9.0/java2/java2-1.4.2_03-1.i586.rpm It will write /etc/java/SunJava2.conf and will run SuSEconfig. It also provides the uninstalable libjawt.so. It is an experimental package. Please feel free to send me any sugestion or comment. Guillermo. On Sunday 14 December 2003 16:13, Marek Chlopek wrote:

E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.
I do not use apt... and even really don't known what it does (rpm like app???)
what is -f option (equivalent to rpm's --nodeps ???)
