Might be, if you were there Michael, but at this point, you don't know what has been done, what hasn't or changes made to certain key files. I don't remember reading anything about mind reader or psychic in your sig list. :o) I agree that Linux can be fixed from virtually any point, but good grief, after a week or more with no advances, a new install sounds more logical to me and quicker. Of course, you have the right to disagree, afterall, you have written a book on Linux!
