I've been playing around with kavi2svcd a bit during the past few days, but I've sofar been unable to convince the program to create mpeg1 files the size of my VCDs (700 MB) from 1 avi file.
Just enter "650MB" (or whatever) in the "Video size" field in the transcode section of kavi2svcd (the first tab). It will then (AIUI) put markers into the file that cause the final output by the muxer to be split into files of this size. It worked for me!
