Compaq DeskPro: Two partitions for Dual-Boot with W2000 already installed.

At first Install-CD boot I have problem with normal install (APM??) thus I start installation in "Safe Settings"

Everything is allright except at first boot:

Sync Out of Range

What's the problem?

I had no problem with RedHat-7.2

I finally booted in "safe settings" and changed runlevel 5 -> 3 in /etc/inittab. The problem lies well in the booting of X-Server. The same problem occurs when I start Sax2 (problem screen config?).

Yes - the error means your monitor cannot display at the refresh rate you have set. The relevant information (horizontal and vertical refresh rates) will be in the monitor manual. You did keep the manual, didn't you...

It is not my monitor and thus I don't have the manual if it exists. If you have it the monitor was detected as CPQ 1399 ???? AB
