Dear all, I recently upgraded to SuSe 8.2 and have a weird problem now. During compiling bigger packages over NFS, i.e. using a client machine for the compile the make quits often with gcc reporting problems like "illegal fseek" or more general i/o errors. The server I tried are running SuSe 8.2 or SuSe 7.3 both show the same problems. I put this therefore down to the NFS client side, but I have no clue what the reason could be! Could be related to hardware problems we have, we had a router with thermal probems. Is there any un-robust behaviour known in the NFS client software of SuSe 8.2 ? Has anybody any thoughts what the problem could be ? I would be grateful for any help! regards, Oliver -- --
