My friend has an Intel 3240 USB DSL modem and he can't get it to work with SuSE 8.2. Anyone have an idea how to get this working? Right now all he can use is Windows.
Thanks, Tom

Tom, Check to see if that modem can be connected via the network port instead. I think you will see the problems disappear when you remove it from the USB and attach it to the eth0 instead. I haven't seen many that have had luck using DSL in the USB.
I said it is a USB modem...this means it doesn't use a network adapter, but rather a USB port.

Well, excuse me for trying to help! My answer still remains the same, get a modem that uses ethernet connections and his problems should disappear. Lee -- --- KMail v1.5.4 --- SuSE Linux Pro v8.2 --- Registered Linux User #225206 On any other day, that might seem strange...
